RINA is currently recruiting for a Energy Research & Innovation Junior Project Manager to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Green Energy Solutions Division.

This role focuses on the project management of international R&D projects, focused on renewables energy, smart energy systems and smart power grid management, building energy management systems and all related to the electrical grid.

The new resource will be part of the team Energy Innovation Strategic Centre, which is mainly exposed to R&D projects and innovation activities. They will:

1. Manage or support the management of EU R&D projects, in the field of renewable energy and its integration at both building, industrial and grid sectors, power grid development, system flexibility and decarbonization & energy transition
2. Contribute to RINA’s activities of technical development, in the framework of EU R&D funded projects also interacting with international partners
3. Contribute to or delivery reports and results European research and innovation projects involving renewable energy technologies, power grid management and the smart grid energy efficiency
4. Contribute to the creation of new opportunities and the preparation of new proposals in the framework of European and international R&D programmes
5. Contribute to the growth of RINA’s network of R&D partners in the field of power generation and distribution

• Degree in electric/energy/mechanical engineering with a focus on electrical grid, renewable energy technologies, smart grids, energy efficiency
• Fluent in English and Italian
• Excellent reporting skills, both verbal and written
• Capacity to conduct research, organize work and produce results
• Good attitude to teamwork
• Open-minded to innovation and creativity and a good attitude to networking
