About the role

Reporting to the South Europe Marketing Director and working closely with the Sales Director, the position of Marketing Specialist combines insights data gathering, customer engagements, proactive commercial initiatives and B2B Marketing Communications execution, with a double focus on both Italian customers and Food category across South Europe.

A hybrid working policy is in place.

Work location: Mozzo or Barcelona

What will I be doing?

•Provide market, product, brand, consumer and competitive insights and analysis to help inform strategic initiatives, account planning and tailored customer engagements

•Collaborate with the Sales Director and the RD&A function to execute the Food proactive commercial initiatives across South Europe: prepare internal and external launch marketing materials, track progress and results, share learnings.

•Actively facilitate the sharing of knowledge, insight, success stories and other information across the sales and marketing teams within South Europe and with other European marketing teams.

• Execute customer engagements with Italian customers, supporting the Account managers and following the lead of the Marketing Director.

• Collaborate with Sales director and Marketing Director to create marketing plans for Italy.

•Execute the local marketing communication initiatives (events, tradeshows, newsletters, etc…), interacting with external involved suppliers, managing the corresponding costs and tracking results.

What do I need to be successful?

•Bachelor’s Degree (essential) - Bachelors or Master’s degree in marketing, business, food science, or related field.

•Previous 2 to 4 years’ experience in strategic marketing, ideally in the food and beverage industry.

Italian first language, fluent in English; fluency in French/Spanish a plus.

•Understanding of the fundamentals of Marketing Research / Consumer Insights and data analysis.

•Ability to communicate and present both to an external and internal audience, and a talent for sharing information with relevant stakeholders.

•Ability to quickly grasp and become proficient in new concepts, ideas, technologies, markets, tools and ways of working.

•An enthusiastic attitude towards effectively interacting with many different functions and serving as an active participant on a multinational, multi-functional team.

•Ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion, including the management of multiple stakeholders (internal and external) and of 3rd party agencies

•Understanding of quantitative and qualitative analysis methodologies, interpreting and presenting findings in a clear, concise manner, including the creation and use of tables, charts, and graphics to summarize results.

•Experience and creativity in preparing and hosting successful client meetings. Skills include meticulous preparation, asking the right questions, managing deadlines and expectations, etc.

•A passion for actively engaging across the business, building partnerships based on trust and integrity.

Travel: up to 30%
