LINUX System Administrator
Pirelli was founded in Milan in 1872 and today stands as a global brand known for its cutting-edge technology, high-end production excellence and passion for innovation that draws heavily on its Italian roots. With 18 production plants in 12 countries and a commercial presence in over 160, Pirelli has around 31,300 employees and had a turnover of about 6.6 billion euro in 2022. It is among the world’s major producers of tyres and associated services and the only one focused solely on the Consumer tyre market, which includes tyres for cars, motorcycles and bicycles.
The candidate will join the IT Manufacturing team and will be involved in projects belonging to a Digital Transformation Program with an active role designing, implementing and deploying the new IIoT platform along the overall factories footprint
Pirelli is looking for a Linux System Administrator to be part of the Linux Infrastructure team within the Pirelli HQ IT infrastructure department. The team is mainly focuses on designing, deploying and maintaining Linux infrastructures on hybrid on-premises and cloud datacenters.
Core Responsibilities
­ - Install, configure and maintain linux servers in a virtualized and Physical Environment 
­ - Monitor server performance and availability.
­ - Install and move servers and storage equipment.
­ - Interface with support vendors ( open and manage Service Request for software and Hardware Issues)
­ - Working closely with application Team ( for supporting them 
­ - Developing new solutions
­ - Fixing outstanding issues
­ - Collaborating with team members 
­ - Performing application migrations
­ - Working closely with other team members 
­ - Troubleshoot and support Linux systems, deeper troubleshooting knowledge of technologies. 
Requirements
­ - 3/5 years of experience
­ - Master/Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
­ - Knowledge of monitoring software and tools such as Nagios, Icinga, Graphana, and others
­ - Knowledge of one or more cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
­ - Knowledge of Linux Clustering software (HP ServiceGuard and others)
­ - Knowledge of Regular Expressions
­ - Python or other programming skills
­ - System automation, orchestration tools, and Infrastructure As Code software (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
­ - Experience with Oracle Clusterware and RAC database
­ - Experience with High-Performance Computing, MPI libraries, Slurm
­ - Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment
­ - Ability to prioritize tasks
­ - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
­ - Strong sense of personal accountability for result
