YOUR ROLE
As a senior application engineer, the candidate will strongly contribute to define new Power Modules specification in strong synergy with Marketing team. The candidate responsibility over the product development is of essence and goes from product definition to final complete application test. Main application of Power Module under the applicant responsibility is the Traction Inverters. Complete traction inverter test equipped with ST Modules are to be considered as a key part of the activity. As a Power Module application engineer, the candidate will deal with complete system architecture. Moreover, he/she strongly supports Marketing and Sales forces during the technical promotion process. For such a reason he/she'll be continuously in contact with direct customers and distributors during product design-in phase. Support to the design in will be exploited with both hardware and software tools. After sales technical support will be also offered at any time.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
- Power electronics sound knowledge
- Traction Inverters excellent knowledge
- Traction Inverters test equipment knowledge
- Power Transistor Characterization Know-how
- Laboratory Instruments Usage (Oscilloscopes, power sources, electronic loads, signal generators),
- Microcontroller and motor control main algorithm implementation knowledge
- Mission profile assessment, Automotive domain knowledge
- Power electronics: System architecture evolution awareness, Wide-band-gap materials-based power transistors
- Thermo-mechanical simulation, Spice model, FPGA, Labview,
- Other skills: Flexibility / adaptivity to changing working environment, open personality to build excellent relationship with both customers and colleagues
- Discipline & Results Orientation, Sense of urgency & Initiative
- Knowledge Sharing
