Job Purpose

Maintains facilities and equipment, ensures equipment availability and drives technical improvements, necessary for both existing and new processes and products.

Key Accountabilities
  • Ensures that site maintenance operations are planned and executed in accordance with timing, quality and cost objetives
  • Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
  • Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
  • Hire and supervise technicians during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, mechanics etc.)
  • Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, compressed air etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
  • Participate in coordinaton of projects (e.g. renovations)
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulation
  • Is familiar and complies with all the applicable corporate as well as site and laboratory policies/procedureswith regard to personal conduct, HSE and Product Safety & regularory Affairs (PSRA) standard
Key Activities
  • Inspires commitment to AkzoNObel purpose, vision, strategy, core principle, values and leadership behaviour.
  • Acts as an ambassador and creates and open evironment in which the team as a whole and its member individually can perform at their best.
  • Stimulates, manages and follows through on employee engament and builds on the workforce to reflect the societies and markets in which we do business (D&I).
  • Ensures that job profiles are in place, sets objectives for team members, revies development and provides clear, open and constructive feedback on performance combined with the appropriate actions.
  • Strengthens the talent pipeline by developing talent and regularly assesses and discusses talent and internal movemebt. Continuously monitors and evalutes retention risk.
  • Ensures reporting line is fully informed and acts in line with HSE and Compliance regulations.
  • Manages and plans relevant budgets and proactively manages costs.
  • Reports on progres on a continus base.
Requirements

 

  • Technical Degree or Maintenance Diploma
  • Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role at least 3 years
  • Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
  • Understanding of budgeting and performance management
  • Excellent planning and leadership abilities
  • MS Office knowledge is required (Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Italian native language
  • Good knowledge English language
  • Basic knowledge relating to health and safety matters under the current Italian legislation
  • ensures that all the Akzo Nobel directives (Process Safety Management) and Local regulations, are applied and met.
