Job Description SummaryAt Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business Unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As Catalyst Manufacturing Program Manager you will operate inside the Catalyst Product Line reporting to the Senior Catalyst Program Leader for GE Avio. In this role you will be the connection and interface between Engineering, Supply Chain and Customer facing organizations, driving execution on new hardware development, industrialization and production readiness.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Interface with Catalyst Engineering and Supply Chain to achieve overall program goals on schedule and on cost

  • Drive the NPI process and the start of production for relevant products/components, coordinating the functional teams to achieve all goals of quality and deliveries

  • Support GE Avio Program Control Board (PCB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes and, relative to GE Avio POA for the Additive parts, assure the coordination with the Type Certificate Holder and the configuration management according to EASA 21.A.145(c)(2)

  • Manage the Customer PO acknowledgement and invoicing

  • Drive hardware availability and assembly readiness for the development engines, in order to deliver on time to Development Programs milestones

  • In collaboration with the GSC Team, assure industrial footprint optimization and supply chain readiness for on quality, on time and on cost delivery to the Customer

  • Measure and improve the producibility of the components and the First Time Yield of the processes, together with Engineering, GSC and Quality teams

  • Drive the identification and resolution of problems, in cooperation with the different functions involved and adopting LEAN approach and tools

  • Support the quotation and development of new GE Avio products or changes to existing products belonging to the Catalyst Product Line

  • Define and control the budget for production support and changes implementation and support the NPI NRE budgeting and control

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college, preferred graduation in Mechanical/Aerospace/Management Engineering

  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities

  • Proven Leadership and strong team player

  • Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks

  • Proactive, adaptable and able to work with an entrepreneurial approach in a complex environment

  • Knowledge of office automation

  • Availability to travel as needed to support the Business (up to 30%)

  • Fluent written and spoken English

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Significant experience in the Aviation Industry preferably in Product/Program Management, Engineering or Manufacturing functions

  • Mastering of Project and Risk management methods

  • Mastering of Lean principles and hands-on experience in Lean improvement projects
