Internship - Reinforcement Technologist

It is among the world’s major producers of tyres and associated services and the only one focused solely on the Consumer tyre market, which includes tyres for cars, motorcycles and bicycles. 

The candidate will join Reinforcement Function as junior technologist and will have the following tasks:

1. to develop modeling tools for the reinforcements cord based to define main properties with the aim to support the tire design in a proper predictive way.

2. to participate and to collaborate to R&D projects involving steel reinforcements as project team member

3. to support steel composite industrialization processes in all Pirelli operating units also through dedicated missions

4. to consolidate such activities through data collection, analysis and regular reporting

5. to establish and maintain relations with colleagues from other Central Material Functions (mainly Compounding and Laboratories), from Central Process Group, from Central Quality and Purchasing Function and from local R&D and Quality organizations 6. to Participate to training sessions & courses

Requirements:

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physic or Material Science.

2. Basic Material Science knowledge

3. Knowledge of modeling tools 

4. Excellent English knowledge (written / oral)

5. Good knowledge of Office package & web application usage
