Azienda Our Client is a company specialized in design and production of professional lighting solutions. Job Description Reporting to the Head of R&D, the employee will have the following responsibilities: Verification and characterisation of the electro-optical properties of LED and laser devices/Light sources. Having close contact with the market and the application, i.e. customers, lighting designers as well as competition in order to bring back feedback from the market into the technology strategy of the company and to explain technology regarding light sources to the key customers. Coordinating across all disciplines the innovation projects / budget and define/drive forward the R&D strategy of the company as well the R&D methodologies to create new technology platforms and products. Design and development of prototypes at laboratory level, considering the feasibility to implement the technology into products. Close cooperation with all internal departments as well as external suppliers and development service providers. Development of innovative measurement methods based on product requirements. Technical key contact person for electro-optical component properties and technology. Understanding measurement data for product data sheets and application notes. Development of product and system knowledge. Operate according the requirements indicated by the Quality Management System adopted by the organisation. Competenze ed esperienza The successful candidate has the following characteristics: University degree (master's degree) in electrical engineering, microsystems technology, physics, optics or a comparable technical/scientific course of study. At least 10-year experience with significant R&D background. Knowledge and experience in the application or testing of semiconductor components in the field of LED/laser (automotive/headlamp, general lighting, semiconductor, entertainment). International experience and team lead experience will be a plus. Know-how and experience in the fundamentals of illumination and projection optics. Measurement tools: photometry and colorimetry, electronics, thermal, mechanical. IT tools: Office, ERP Software, SW dedicated to measurement. Basic optical design. Project management skills. Technical product standards. Readiness for international business trips. Fluent knowledge of English and Italian. Completa l'offerta Great career opportunity in advanced R&D professional context.
