We are looking for an R&D Electrical Engineer to reinforce our Field Application Engineering team. Thanks to a deep knowledge of the division product portfolio and the relevant final applications, our field application engineers take care of technically developing opportunities for ABB business. This position reports to R&D Team Lead Your responsibilities Support of customers, especially in the identification of major segment plant criticalities. Handle the declination of products in solutions for customers and new ABB initiatives. Work in collaboration with R&D product design teams, Product Management and Marketing functions and Sales forces, with special attention to the contact with customers. Operate as a consultant for the customer, providing proposals and innovative solutions by the execution of simulation studies performed with simulation applications, specifically EMTP-RV and ETAP. Your background A master’s degree in Electrical engineering. Previous experience in Power System design and Electrical application is desired. Knowledge of industrial processes is an advantage, focused on MV Power System innovation. Knowledge of EMTP, ETAP, Matlab e Simulink software. Fluent in Italian and have good knowledge (B1 level or higher) of spoken and written English. Good communication skills, networking and teamworking capabilities.
