For ABB E-Mobility Technology Center located in San Giovanni Valdarno, we are looking for a Firmware Developer for our R&D organization. The profile will design/develop the control software of our power converts connected to the medium/low voltage grid for electrical vehicle charging applications. Your workflow will be part of the ABB gate model development process where you'll work in an Agile way with the entire product development team.
Design and development of embedded software in MCUs and/or Application processors for complex system level management, communication, or power converters
Support the HW team and the testing engineers during the power modules development
A master's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Informatics, Computer Science
Strong knowledge of Embedded Systems and FW development and on the most common industrial communication protocol
Proficiency in C/C++ and PythonFamiliarity with Linux is a plus
Expert user of common tools and practices used in software development (Git and collaboration environments, compilers and debugging tools).
A clear verbal communicator in English and, preferably, in Italian.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, agile team, with proven experience in product design and development
