Purpose of the position: As Painting and Coating Engineer, you will join our Department/Function PIPEF, in the business line Asset Based Services (no Drilling). Responsibilities Engineering activities related to the application of anti‐corrosion coatings for pipes, structures, and welded joints in all phases of offshore oil and gas pipeline construction projects; Material and equipment selection; Review of project documentation and relevant international standards; Support to the preparation of quotations; Preparation of project specifications, procedures, and inspection plans; Preparation of specifications and technical documentation for equipment engineering: may be dedicated to the development of specific, high‐tech automated equipment for field joint coating; Support and coordination during Project qualifications and startup phases. Education & Qualifications Education: Master Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering. Background: 0‐2 years as a painting/coating engineer or similar. Languages: English B1. Technical Knowledge Good competences in the use of Office systems; Good knowledge of materials engineering: Deep understanding of the physical, chemical and mechanical properties of metallic and polymeric materials; Knowledge of the main manufacturing processes in the Oil and Gas field; General knowledge of corrosion principles; Knowledge of CAD: Ability to draft simple drawings and provide instructions for their preparation or modifications.
