Your Responsibilities Will Include: 🔧Designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical systems, including power distribution, transformers, switchgear, and emergency backup systems. ✅ Ensuring compliance with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission), IEEE, ANSI, and other regulatory and safety standards. 🛠️ Maintaining and troubleshooting plant electrical systems to prevent failures and minimize downtime. 📜 Developing and implementing electrical safety protocols, testing procedures, and maintenance schedules. ⚙️ Working with instrumentation and control (I&C) systems for reactor monitoring, automation, and safety mechanisms. 🔄 Supporting plant modifications, system upgrades, and retrofits to enhance efficiency and regulatory compliance. 📊 Conducting fault analysis, power flow studies, and protective relaying coordination for electrical systems. 🤝 Collaborating with reactor engineers, civil engineers, and safety specialists to integrate electrical components into plant designs. 📋 Assisting in regulatory audits, inspections, and documentation related to electrical systems. 👨🏫 Providing technical support and training to plant operators and maintenance teams regarding electrical safety and operations. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education: 🎓 Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field. Experience: ⏳ 3-7 years in electrical engineering, preferably in nuclear, power generation, or industrial environments (entry-level positions may require internships or co-op experience). Certifications (Preferred): 📜 PE (Professional Engineer) license, IEEE certifications, or NRC-related qualifications. Understanding: 💡 Strong comprehension of power generation, distribution, and electrical system reliability. Proficiency: 💻 In electrical design and analysis software (e.g., ETAP, SKM PowerTools, AutoCAD Electrical). Knowledge: 📚 Of nuclear safety standards, regulatory compliance, and emergency power systems. Familiarity: 🔍 With digital and analog control systems, instrumentation, and automation in nuclear facilities. Strengths: 🧩 Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Skills: 🤝 Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with engineers, operators, and regulatory agencies. Attention to Detail: 🧐 High attention to detail and a strong commitment to nuclear safety and compliance. Ability: ⏲️ To work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple projects.
