We are looking for a R&D Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team on electrolyser and stack development and validation in Pisa, Italy. You’ll be an integral part of the development process and will have a wide range of technical challenges to tackle. Be ready for a dynamic environment

What role will you play in building a green hydrogen future?

  • Setting up experimental tests and studies in the R&D department, elaborating test reports based on test plans and experimental measurements.
  • You’ll work independently on specific tasks but in synergy with other team members.
  • You’ll interface and communicate proficiently with other teams and departments because the R&D Team is the most interdisciplinary team in the company.
  • Bring your critical approach to daily problems.

What do you need to help make our goals a reality?

  • First things first: Enthusiasm for the part green hydrogen will play in tomorrow's world and Enapter's role in it.
  • At least a Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Energy Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the Engineering field, preferably in R&D departments.
  • Hands-on approach to running experiments in which both mechanical and electrical components are used.
  • Excellent knowledge of wide engineering principles (thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanical and electrical principles).
  • Good knowledge of industrial sensors, data acquisition, and communication protocols.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Experience handling hydrogen or similar gases will speed up your onboarding.
  • Experience in prototyping and experimental setup is strongly recommended.
  • Being able to develop new ideas into practical and measurable deliverables.
  • MS Office pack knowledge is a must.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Matlab is recommended.
  • Fluent English, communication skills in Italian is optional and considered only a plus.
