Satcom Power Technician Role ID – 2025-0280 Overview Spektrum offers exciting opportunities in several global locations. We are currently looking for a SATCOM Power Technician to support the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) and its partners. The role focuses on maintaining and operating power systems across key NATO sites. Role Background The NCIA provides secure and effective communications and IT services to NATO member countries and partners. Its services encompass cyber security, command and control, satellite communications, electronic warfare, and information management. Role Duties and Responsibilities Maintain prime power systems from transformer vaults to distribution boards. Operate and maintain diesel-electric generators, ensuring fuel supply and availability. Provide compliance inspections in accordance with CEI 64/08 prescriptions. Operate and maintain UPS, batteries, and emergency lighting. Perform preventive maintenance on cross-site cabling, grounding, lightning protection, radomes, EMP pneumatic doors, and hydraulic systems. Provide basic maintenance of site security systems (gates, bollards, access infrastructure). Maintain HVAC, heating, air handling units, and fire protection systems. Collaborate with industry providers for contracted services under Site Engineer oversight. Maintain accurate service records in TT-Comms, ITSM, and site logbooks. Provide monthly status reports on maintenance, incidents, and improvements. Support Site Engineers in planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activities. Essential Skills, Experience and Certifications Minimum 5 years of hands‐on experience in power systems maintenance and troubleshooting. Expertise in power distribution systems, UPS units, and generators. Proficiency in monitoring and maintaining equipment such as rectifiers, inverters, and RF amplifiers, with knowledge of remote telemetry and control systems. Experience ensuring compliance with safety standards, preventive maintenance schedules, and technical documentation for classified or mission‐critical operations. Familiarity with DoD power system standards, STIG compliance for infrastructure components, and audit support for operational readiness. Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field (or 5 years technical experience). Language Proficiency English – C1; local assignment language fluency desirable. Working Location Lughezzano, Verona Working Policy On‐site Travel Some travel to other NATO sites may be required. Security Clearance Valid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance.
