About the location:

Iconic elegance in Milan’s most fashionable neighbourhood. A 15th-century convent turned sophisticated garden retreat, Four Seasons Hotel Milano is a haven in the centre of Milan’s Fashion District. Hotel Danieli, Venice, Italy:

A luxury hotel in the center of Venice, facing the Venetian lagoon and just steps from San Marco, Hotel Danieli, Venice is a 5-star property with elegant and spacious accommodations, while the rooftop restaurant, Terrazza Danieli offers spectacular lagoon views. The historic hotel showcases majestic Venetian architecture that dates back as far as the 14th Century.

The Role of Director of Housekeeping:

We currently have an opportunity for Director of Housekeeping to join our team in Venice, Italy

Reporting to the Director of Rooms, you will be involved in the strategic planning and target setting for the hotel. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruit, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all housekeeping & laundry employees in ensuring that established cultural and core standards are met.
  • Daily activities and planning for departments’ operation.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.
  • Resolve guests’ complaints, handling all interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
  • Ensure all standards are followed and proactively implement efficient policies according to company and local requirements.
  • Hold departmental meetings and foster an open communication environment and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

Our Ideal Director of Housekeeping candidate will have:

3 to 5 years of experience as a Director of Housekeeping, preferably with a luxury Hospitality brand, strong working knowledge of Italian labor law, and fluency in English and Italian.
