Accounting Supervisor (Orsenigo, Italy)

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic, results driven individual to join as Accounting Supervisor for our Italian Technical Center in Orsenigo.

Location : Orsenigo, Italy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accounting
  • Manage & review monthly US GAAP closing activities
  • Perform accounting reporting and analytical review
  • Prepare statutory annual accounts in Italian GAAP
  • Liaise with auditors & lead financial statements audit
  • Actively participate in the SAP transition project
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of financial accounting systems
  • Report issues/key transactions to site controller and group accounting team
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes
  • Train & coach team member(s)

Education & Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience in accounting/audit, preferably in industry
  • Master's Degree in Accounting/Management/Finance required
  • Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Experience in reporting to senior management is preferred
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and Italian GAAP
  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP
  • Basic knowledge on consolidation
  • Good knowledge on taxation (direct and indirect)
  • IT aptitude
  • SAP ERP System knowledge preferred
  • HFM or OneStream knowledge is a plus
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel user
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organized with strong communication skills
  • Proactive and detail-oriented
  • Team-player and autonomous
  • Fluent in English and Italian required
