Senior Researcher Brief description Forescout is looking for a Senior Researcher to join our elite research team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled individual passionate about exploring the world’s most challenging cybersecurity problems, conducting advanced research, and influencing the direction of our technology.
Forescout is the leader in device visibility and control. Our unified security platform enables enterprises and government agencies to gain complete situational awareness of their extended enterprise environment and orchestrate actions to reduce cyber and operational risk.

Key Responsibilities Lead and conduct in-depth research into emerging cyber threats, technologies, and methodologies, including threat actors and their ecosystems.
Analyze advanced cyberattack techniques, vulnerabilities, and threat landscapes.
Monitor academic and industry publications to identify and explore new areas of study in threat intelligence that can enhance the company’s offerings and maintain competitive advantage.
Develop proof-of-concept tools and techniques to test and validate new ideas.
Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and incident response units, to align research efforts with organizational goals such as product development.
Author technical papers, whitepapers, or patents to contribute to the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
Mentor junior researchers, interns and team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and forums, presenting research findings and innovations.
Qualifications requirements: Education & Experience: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with significant hands-on experience.
At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity research, whether in industry or academia.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with areas such as threat intelligence, malware analysis, reverse engineering, network security, or vulnerability research.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java) and familiarity with security tools (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, Wireshark).
Experience with machine learning or AI applications in cybersecurity is a plus.

Soft Skills: Fluency in English
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience in solving complex problems and translating them into working solutions.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
