The Implementation & Support group is responsible for adapting and geographically expanding innovative products across our premium wellness and therapeutic product portfolios. This position is responsible for European pet food product development projects. Initially approx 80% for projects servicing the Hill’s Desenzano plant. The individual in this position is responsible for pet food development projects and maintenance of existing pet food formulations, both within Hill’s as well as Co-Manufacturing plants. Part of the job responsibility is development and maintenance of pet food ingredient specifications, the execution of Funding the Growth projects as well as supporting European Supply Chain / Sourcing initiatives relative to Quality / Sourcing or Production related projects ( for example qualification of alternative raw material suppliers). Collaboration on product design with our claims and clinical studies group will help ensure final formulas deliver required efficacy and claims.
Develop and maintain European pet food product formulations and specifications
Conduct plant tests and implement final formulations
Develop and maintain pet food raw material specifications
Support the qualification of new raw materials or new suppliers
Execute Funding the Growth projects
EDUCATION AND FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
University / Bachelor degree in Food Technology or equivalent
Master degree in Food Technology or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 3+ years, working experience in product development
- food Preferred: 3+ years, working experience in pet food or baby food development Ability to work with high degree of data integrity and accuracy Planning/Priority Setting Consumer/Customer Focus Analysis/Decision Making Expected Gross Annual Salary Range: €44.000 ─ €49.000 gross per year This position is offered under a permanent employment contract. The role is governed by the applicable Italian National Collective Bargaining Agreement (“CCNL”) [Contratto Alimentari Industria], including the relevant job classification and economic provisions applicable to the position. The initial compensation within the above range will be determined on the basis of objective, transparent and gender-neutral criteria , including professional experience, skills and competencies, qualifications, scope of responsibilities, role requirements, location, applicable CCNL classification and internal company policies. Bonus Subject to role eligibility and applicable company policy, employees may also be eligible to participate in variable compensation programs tied to company and/or individual performance, including an annual target bonus opportunity where applicable. Relocation Assistance Relocation assistance may be offered for this role and it may include: Short-term temporary housing for a limited period to support the transition to the new location; Reimbursement of reasonable relocation expenses, in line with internal relocation policies and applicable tax and social security rules. Specific terms and conditions of any relocation package, including duration of temporary housing and reimbursable expenses, will be detailed in the relevant offer documentation.
