Part of the Luxury Group of Marriott International, Casa Brera is currently recruiting a Housekeeping Supervisor to join the pre-opening team made of modern and authentic hospitality professionals.

Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, the role will cover Housekeeping tasks.

  • This is a full-time position, 5 days a week with 2 days off.
  • The starting date is estimated in August.

As a role model for your housekeeping team, you’ll coach, encourage, and work alongside them so they can learn from your impeccable standards.

What you’ll do

  • Co-ordinate housekeeping activity, planning and distributing room-cleaning assignments with the outsourcing company.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas after they’ve been cleaned, to ensure the highest standards are being met.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues and missing or damaged property liaising with Engineering and Security.
  • Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
  • Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities, especially laundry activities.
  • Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
  • Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
  • Complete required paperwork.
  • Assist management in training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Support team to reach common goals.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Director of Housekeeping.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and company guidelines.

What you’ll need:

  • A warm, people-oriented demeanor and a team-first attitude.
  • Positive outlook and outgoing personality.
  • Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and multi-tasking ability.
  • Great storytelling skills in English and at least intermediate Italian (both writing and speaking).
  • Previous Housekeeping supervisory experience is a big plus.
  • Ideally, technical knowledge of Opera.
