Offer Description

The research project aims to define how to integrate multidisciplinary data and what outputs the Digital Twin should provide for the purpose of infrastructure asset management, maintenance of efficient operation, and resilience in the event of an emergency. The Digital Twin has interpretive value and provides decision support. A known technical difficulty that will need to be addressed is the need to reduce the amount of data required to align the digital replication with the real thing by considering only those that are determinant to allow through modeling to mimic in real time the relevant behavior of the system. Methods and tools, processes of interest, and management and operational figures involved and affected by the development of a multi-model Digital Twin for large-scale civil infrastructure management will be identified.
