Senior Engine Performance Simulation Engineer

GammaTech Engineering (GTE) is looking for a Senior Engine Performance Simulation Engineer with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us. Position Summary You would join our 1D Reactive Flow Simulation team, a group with nearly 20 years of experience in developing solutions for engine gas-exchange and combustion modelling and simulation. In this role, you would contribute to consulting projects for major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers in the transportation industry. Job Responsibilities Build, calibrate and correlate complex engine models, and simulate innovative ICE technologies using GT-SUITE, on a variety of applications: from SI to Diesel and alternative fuels; from marine or heavy-duty to motorsport and sportscar applications. Perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to: combustion model calibration and validation; turbo-matching analyses; intake and exhaust acoustic optimization; design optimization andvirtual calibration. Develop and adapt innovative CAE methodologies to meet customer requirements, devising alternative design solutions for complex problems. Analyze simulation results and provide expertise on the observed phenomena. Author high quality technical reports, simulation workflows, procedures and training material. Interact with colleagues on multi-disciplinary projects to achieve comprehensive solutions. Manage projects and ensure timely delivery within the provided budget. Choose the most effective and efficient technical approach to meet project requirements. Manage and supervise the resources assigned to the project. Collaborate closely with customers, fostering positive and cooperative relationships. Participate in drafting technical and economic proposals. Education, Experience and Skills Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: MSc. in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or similar Strong theoretical background and interest in internal combustion engine technologies 4+ years of working experience with GT-POWER (or other similar multi-physics system simulation tools) for engine performance analysis Basic Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink Proven Python experience is a plus Proficient in both Italian and English, with strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
