We are looking for a Commodity Electrical Buyer to join our Energy business. You will negotiate price lists or framework agreements for materials according to required technical specifications, target price, delivery schedule, and terms. You will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

KEY DUTIES

• Identify new suppliers in cooperation with R&D, Quality Dep. and Costing Dep.
• Qualify new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.
• Negotiate (in technical terms) agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renew price lists, terms, and conditions.
• Adapt corporate contractual framework to the local business needs.
• Recommend frame agreements to management, and execute upon approval.
• Analyze and evaluate bids in order to determine the optimal value.
• Support bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information. Track goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing.
• Oversee supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time), and resolve performance issues.
• Manage electromechanical items, control panels, harnesses, connectors, sensors, and LED lighting.

QUALIFICATION

• Degree in Electronic, Electric, Energy Engineering or similar, with a passion for energy business components.
• Interest in gaining experience in purchasing roles.
• Years of Experience: 3-5 years purchasing or related experience.
• Knowledge of Oracle would be considered a plus.
• Very good knowledge of English (B2 level at least) and Italian, written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage different tasks, good managerial skills.
• Demonstrated relentless drive and determination to achieve success.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze, think and communicate with well-supported data.
• Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication competencies.
• Willingness to travel.
