Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding its cloud infrastructure across EMEA. We are hiring a Commissioning Engineer to support the design, planning, and operation of AWS data centre infrastructure.
Support vendors, contractors, and internal teams during construction and commissioning of medium/low voltage power systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, chilled water systems, BMS, EPMS, testing and balancing, pumps, and hydronic systems.
Provide multi‑discipline input into scheduling, test script development, design, and planning of projects.
Review component submittal packages, lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT), perform system‑level and integrated system testing.
Audit activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
Compile and deliver comprehensive weekly status reports and lessons learned for ongoing projects.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The Commissioning Team works with electrical, mechanical, controls, and project management professionals to verify equipment designs, construction quality, and operational functionality before commissioning.
5+ years of experience in mission‑critical facilities or data‑center infrastructure.
~3+ years of commissioning experience.
~ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
~ Certification or training in NETA, ASHRAE, or commissioning‑specific education courses.
~ Willingness to travel domestic and internationally (~50% of the time); Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of SharePoint or similar.
Depth of knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures.
Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved submittals.
