Calibration Engineer

ALTEN Italia - Calibration Engineer ALTEN Italia, working with leading companies in the AUTOMOTIVE sector, is looking for Calibration Engineers with varying levels of experience, ranging from 6 months to 3 years. The selected candidate will be involved in AUTOMOTIVE projects related to calibration, including calibration on engine test benches for diesel/petrol/CNG/hybrid/electric/HVAC/ADAS/On Board Diagnostic systems. Responsibilities: Calibration and experimentation on engine test benches for diesel/petrol/CNG/hybrid/electric systems. Vehicle calibration. Defining combustion processes (emissions, performance), safety, and drivability. Diagnostic strategies / EOBD / Troubleshooting. Post-processing and after-treatment. Vehicle test programming. Dataset analysis and calibration control. Preparation of comprehensive reports and technical documentation. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields. Experience in engine calibration on diesel/petrol/hybrid/electric test benches. Previous experience in engine testing and functional verification. Ability to diagnose anomalies from bench tests, vehicle tests, or track tests. Good knowledge of engines, After Treatment Systems (ATS), and related tools. Proficiency in tools such as ETAS INCA, ETAS MDA, AVL Puma, AVL Concerto, Dianalyzer, CANdela, GT-Power. Nice to have: Proficiency in Matlab and Simulink. Good command of the English language. Location: Workplace: Milan, Turin, Reggio Emilia, Modena.
