Location:
Remote, Italy-based candidates only The role We are supporting a growing technology team that is looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer to help design, improve, and scale modern cloud and on-premise platforms. This role would suit someone with a strong DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability background who enjoys working across Kubernetes environments, cloud infrastructure, automation, observability, and large-scale application platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Improve and evolve CI/CD and software delivery processes Enhance platform observability, monitoring, and reliability Manage and optimise Kubernetes environments across cloud and on-premise infrastructure Support high-availability and high-traffic applications Contribute to infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives Help drive DevOps best practices across engineering teams Mentor junior colleagues and share technical knowledge Evaluate and introduce new technologies where appropriate Requirements Previous experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles Strong experience with Kubernetes, including Red Hat OpenShift Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and GKE Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Good knowledge of Linux environments Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling Experience managing virtualised environments (VMware and/or KVM) Experience supporting high-scale, high-traffic applications Experience with Apache Kafka or other message broker technologies Scripting or programming experience What's on Offer Fully remote working from anywhere in Italy Permanent employment contract Access to local company offices and hubs if preferred Opportunity to work on modern cloud and platform engineering challenges Exposure to large-scale, business-critical environments Long-term career development within a growing technical team
