Part-time
~As a Brand
Bearaby is a growing DTC startup that specializes in science-based, design-led weighted blankets that help people sleep naturally. Proud ambassador of the only sustainable, organic and single material weighted blanket out there, our aim is to make deep, natural sleep an everyday luxury.
As a culture

We are tight-knit (small), but inclusive. We are a group of problem solvers with various skill sets, backgrounds, and interests. We are knit together by one common goal: to do everything we can to grow our brand the right way and with efficiency.

We’re looking for a part-time Textile Engineer to bring technical leadership, innovation, and quality excellence to Bearaby’s growing product roadmap.

In this role, you will oversee end-to-end quality assurance, from fabric sourcing to final production, while driving innovation in new materials for bedding and comfort-first apparel. You’ll partner closely with our global manufacturing network, our internal Design team, and external labs to ensure every Bearaby product meets the highest standards of comfort, sustainability, and craftsmanship.

Technical Ownership: Act as Bearaby’s textile lead, working closely with HQ and third-party manufacturers to ensure product quality, consistency, and process efficiency.
Material Innovation: Partner with our Designer to develop and test innovative fabrics for Home and Apparel, with a focus on comfort, sustainability, and next-gen textile technologies.
Quality Assurance & Audits: Conduct technical audits, lead factory inspections, and oversee quality assurance across the entire supply chain.
Sampling & Testing: code, mask, and dispatch samples to third-party labs.
Trend & Sustainability Research: Stay current on global textile trends, material science breakthroughs, and sustainable innovations—bringing fresh ideas into the Bearaby pipeline.
Cross-Functional R&D: Engage in R&D projects that extend beyond textiles, contributing to broader innovation initiatives across the comfort and sleep categories.
