Textile Designer Automotive Interior Industry – Laguna Beach, CA (USA)


Your Responsibilities
As a Textile Designer with us, you'll lead in developing and implementing state-of-the-art Warp Knit materials for automotive uses, utilizing advanced tools like EAT and KARL MAYER. You'll engage with Automotive OEM Design clients globally, creating and showcasing visual concepts that integrate the latest design trends into our product innovations. Your role covers the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to final production, ensuring adherence to contemporary consumer design trends and forecasts. Collaborating with our cohesive team, including the VP of Design and Development, Sales, and Materials Engineering, you're instrumental in benchmarking, distributing samples, and managing archives to sustain our competitive stance in automotive interior design.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Textile Design, focusing on Warp Knitting.
  • Proficiency in developing innovative Automotive Interiors using Warp Knitting techniques (Tricot, Raschel, etc.).
  • Ideally, experience with KARL MAYER Warp Knit software;
    willingness to learn EAT Warp Knit Software.
  • Skilled in collaborating with Automotive OEM Design clients, including presentation of Warp Knit designs.
  • Strong project management skills, with a focus on deadlines and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in a Corporate Design environment.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and professional PowerPoint creation for Automotive OEMs.
  • Knowledge of Stoll 3D Knitting is advantageous.
