R&D Electrical Engineer Short Circuit- Power Transformers (m/f/d)As R&D Engineer, you will join the Technology Center South Europe, part of the global Technology organization of Business Unit Transformer. As member of our R&D team located in Monselice (Italy), you will contribute to the execution of projects related to short circuit withstand of power transformers supporting as domain expert the design platforms.How you'll make an impactPropose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for core type transformers.Lead and manage R&D projects self-driven on time, on budget, and with the required quality following Hitachi Energy internal standards and processes.Maintain existing and develop new technical standards and design tools for transformers.Assess production processes and proactively identify gaps and areas of improvement.Support factories troubleshooting in your domain of expertise.Support platform developers creating technical specifications in your domain of expertise.Develop, manage and expand relationships with stakeholders, internal functions, Corporate Research Centers and external relevant parties (e.g. customers, universities). Your backgroundMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years' experience in Power Transformer industry. Also a mechanical engineers with 5+ years' experience in Power Transformers design will also be taken into consideration.Good experience in power transformer's design, testing, and manufacturing.Good knowledge and use of finite element electromagnetic analysis programs. Basic use of a 3D mechanical drawing program (CREO, ...) Good design experience of dedicated calculation and verification software/applications, into engineering design tools.Knowledge of one or more programming languages (C#, C++, Python, ...) and the physical characteristics of the main materials for power transformers manufacturing will be considered a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to present technical concepts to various stakeholders.More about usWe offer you the opportunity to work with fantastic people and develop yourself on projects that present great technical challenges and have a real impact.
