Duferco is a global company with diversified operations in energy retail and trading, steel manufacturing, insurance, and logistics. As we continue to expand, we are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will play a pivotal part in advancing our mission of leveraging cloud‐based tools and technologies for data processing, storage, and management, while also developing customized AI‐driven solutions.
Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize dbt models and data pipelines to ensure high‐quality, maintainable, and scalable transformations.
Take end‐to‐end ownership of data engineering tasks: from requirements gathering to implementation, testing, and production.
Develop, maintain, and optimize cloud‐based data solutions for data processing, storage, and management (AWS preferred).
Ensure data platforms are well‐structured, accessible, and aligned with business needs.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data models and pipelines.
Proactively explore emerging tools and technologies to strengthen our data capabilities.
D. in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Proven expertise with dbt (core or cloud) in production environments.
Hands‐on experience with SQL, ETL processes, and data transformation frameworks.
Solid knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and modern data platform practices.
Familiarity with AWS data stack (Redshift, S3, DMS, etc.).
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Backend development experience in Python (nice‐to‐have).
Experience working on AI‐solutions and time series data (nice‐to‐have).
