Multiomics Sales Specialist – Central Europe Remote based, with regular travel across the region (approx. 60%) A valid driving licence is essential due to the travel requirements of this role. The Role As a Multiomics Sales Specialist here at Illumina, you will be at the forefront of driving adoption of next-generation sequencing (NGS) solutions that power multiomics research and analysis. This role is pivotal in supporting academic and clinical institutions, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies across the Central Europe Subregion. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver Illumina's integrated multiomics portfolio, enabling breakthroughs in genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, and proteomics. You thrive in consultative sales environments, combining scientific knowledge with commercial acumen to deliver value to customers. You are proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about advancing multiomics technologies. A PhD in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, or Biochemistry is highly desirable, though an MSc with relevant laboratory experience will also be considered. To succeed, you will bring: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for diverse audiences. Proven ability to identify customer needs, articulate value propositions, and lead successful sales engagements. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel extensively across the region (approx. 60%). A valid driving licence is essential for this role. Fluency in business English required; additional Eastern European languages (e.g., Polish, Czech) are an advantage. Key Responsibilities Include Drive Commercial Success: Own and deliver the multiomics sales budget for Central Europe. Develop and execute a strategic business plan for the multiomics segment in your territory. Customer Engagement & Technical Expertise: Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through applications, assay design, and data interpretation. Deliver compelling product presentations and lead consultative discussions to showcase Illumina's multiomics solutions. Enablement & Collaboration: Train and support the sales team to strengthen their understanding of Illumina's multiomics value proposition. Work cross-functionally with marketing, product management, and service teams to align customer needs with company objectives. Market Development: Expand and nurture a network of service providers dedicated to multiomics products. Stay informed about emerging trends to shape effective sales strategies.
