Structured as a permanent-capital serial acquirer, the firm focuses on non-core companies, business units, and divisions with revenues between €10 million and €100 million divested by large and medium-sized corporates. Through patient ownership, operational autonomy, and disciplined capital allocation, Newport transforms subsidiaries into resilient, high-performing stand-alone companies. We are now looking for an enthusiastic M&A Intern to join our team in Verona actively supporting the execution of complex M&A transactions across a broad range of sectors, different countries, and deal types. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experience professionals, gaining first hand exposure and insights on live transactions. You'll earn responsibility by mastering the fundamentals, including the most boring tasks. You will work as a full member of the M&A team and support all phases of the investment process, including: Performing market, competitive, business, and company analyses Assisting with financial analysis, valuations, and business plan reviews Supporting due diligence activities across financial, commercial, and operational workstreams Preparing investment materials (teasers, one-pagers, internal memos, Investment Committee materials) Implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving our CRM, including data quality, pipeline tracking, and reporting Supporting live transaction execution and interaction with external advisors Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a STEM field Master's student or recent Master's graduate in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management, or Engineering with a strong finance focus Mandatory: prior internship experience in Investment Banking, M&A advisory, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Audit, or Management Consulting Mandatory: at least six months of academic or professional experience abroad (exchange program, internship, or work experience) Fluency in Italian and English; a third language is mandatory (e.g. French, German, Spanish, Dutch) Strong Excel, Word, and Power Point skills Availability for a full-time, on-site internship in Verona for six months At ease working alone in the office at times, as the team travels frequently Real exposure to live M&A transactions and complex corporate carve-outs Direct interaction with senior investment professionals Please apply via Linked In or contact us directly with your CV (PDF) and a short motivation note.
