Project Development Engineer – Renewable Energy (Remote, Italy)Fully Remote | Competitive Salary | Annual Bonus | Stock Options | Excellent Benefits An innovative and fast-growing international renewable energy company is seeking a Project Development Engineer to support the development of solar, wind, and energy storage projects across Europe. This is a fully remote role offering outstanding progression, impactful work, and an opportunity to help drive the transition to clean energy.The Role As a Project Development Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of renewable energy projects from early-stage development through to execution. You will work closely with project managers, external consultants, and engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and smooth project progression.Key Responsibilities Support project managers with planning, coordination, and execution of development activities Review and assess technical project documentation (designs, drawings, technical reports, calculations) Coordinate with external consultants, engineering firms, and internal teams Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, permitting requirements, and local regulations Contribute to technical due diligence and project feasibility assessments Provide input during design development for solar PV, wind, and BESS projectsRequirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or related field) Experience in renewable energy project development (solar, wind or BESS preferred) Strong capability in reviewing technical documents and engineering designs Knowledge of applicable industry standards and permitting processes Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Self-driven, organised, and detail-oriented Fluent English; additional European languages a plus Willingness to travel occasionally as requiredWhat's On Offer Fully remote role (Italy).
