In this role, you'll pay close attention to our processes to help maintain our high standards, and you'll put in place upgrades to take that standard even higher.Learnmore about Amazon RME in AustraliaKey job responsibilitiesLead and Motivate: Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing strategic guidance and professional developmentDevelop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs and facility compliance strategiesAct as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the siteInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot complex facility systems and automated equipmentCross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships across organizational levels and participate in strategic leadership meetingsA day in the lifeYour day will be a dynamic blend of hands-on technical work and strategic leadership. You'll lead a team of technicians (fitters and electricians), troubleshoot complex equipment challenges, and develop proactive maintenance strategies that keep our cutting-edge systems performing at their peakBasic QualificationsExperience in team leadershipA full Engineering Apprenticeship qualified to a minimum of Certificate III or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject formally recognised in Australia including valid licence when required (i.e. unrestricted electrical licence).Experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenanceRelevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environmentsExperience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.Preferred QualificationsUnderstanding of programmable logic controls (PLC) programmingExperience of multi-contractor managementKnowledge of statutory compliance requirementsPreferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.
