MOD Senior Cyber Security Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join our dynamic team. Deliver advanced Security Operations and Incident Response services across client environments. Investigate security incidents and support containment, remediation, and recovery activities. Improve detection capabilities through SIEM, EDR, threat intelligence, and threat hunting activities. Assess security controls and provide recommendations to strengthen clients’ cybersecurity posture. Drive automation, process improvement, and the adoption of security best practices. Act as a trusted technical advisor for cybersecurity operations and security improvement initiatives. Act as a technical point of reference for clients on operational topics, providing updates and supporting escalations when needed. 4–7 years of experience in Cybersecurity, with a strong focus on Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Detection, or Managed Security Services. ~ Solid knowledge of SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and security monitoring practices. ~ Strong understanding of Windows and Linux systems, Active Directory / Entra ID, networking, and cloud security concepts. ~ Experience investigating security incidents and analyzing security events across complex environments. ~ Ability to assess security risks and translate technical findings into actionable recommendations. ~ The gross annual salary for this position ranges from €35.000 to €55.000. It may be adjusted based on the candidate’s skills and experience beyond the required level. The role is covered by the CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria (CNEL code C011). Experience in SOC / MDR or managed security services environments. Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR/EDR platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, SentinelOne, Defender). Knowledge of frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIS2, NIST). Security certifications (e.g., Security+, Blue Team, vendor-specific). Previous experience in client-facing roles or project coordination. The gross annual salary for this position ranges from €35.000 to €55.000. It may be adjusted based on the candidate’s skills and experience beyond the required level. The role is covered by the CCNL Metalmeccanico Industria (CNEL code C011).
