Ricercatore Advanced Microscopy & Material Science Location: Area Science Park, Trieste, Friuli‐Venezia Giulia, Italy. Position Overview Public selection, based on qualifications and examinations, for recruitment under a full‐time and permanent employment contract of one Third‐Level Researcher in Advanced Microscopy and Materials Science. Key Responsibilities Carry out advanced electron microscopy research activities with high autonomy and collaboration with national and international research groups. Advanced characterization of materials using TEM/STEM, spectroscopic and diffractometric techniques to correlate synthesis processes, microstructure and functional properties. Develop and optimize analytical and image‐simulation methodologies for TEM/STEM, correlating local and atomic structure with physical and chemical properties. Apply correlative microscopy approaches, integrating data obtained from electron microscopy with complementary techniques such as synthesis, functional and spectroscopic characterization. Develop and optimize protocols for the preparation and realization of samples intended for electron microscopy, as well as for their integrated characterization. Travel within Italy and abroad as required. Admission Requirements Master's degree (Laurea Magistrale) in one of the following classes: physics (LM17), chemical sciences (LM54), materials science and engineering (LM53), industrial chemistry science and technology (LM71), chemical engineering (LM22); or an equivalent specialist degree, former diploma di laurea, or foreign qualification declared equivalent. Either a PhD relevant to the activities described or at least three years of professional or research experience after obtaining the Master's degree in one of the described areas. Excellent knowledge of the English language (to be assessed by the Selection Committee during the examination tests). For foreign candidates only: adequate knowledge of the Italian language.
