We’re looking for a Grant Writer / Proposal Project Lead to shape new product concepts starting from technologies and drive the end-to-end preparation of proposals for public funding.

Day One is a Deep Tech Venture Builder that transforms scientific discoveries in life sciences, diagnostics, biotech and deep tech into market-ready ventures. We work with top researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry partners to build products that matter—combining innovation, execution, and funding strategy.

Your work starts from promising technologies (internal or from research partners) and turns them into clear product narratives, fundable project plans, and competitive proposals.

Product concept development (from tech → product)
Support teams in defining roadmaps, MVP logic, validation plans, and adoption pathways (clinical/industrial where relevant).

Lead the full proposal process: structure, narrative, work plan, consortium inputs, budget logic, timelines, risk/mitigation.
Coordinate contributions from internal teams and external partners.
Ensure proposals are consistent, compliant, and submission-ready: templates, annexes, admin docs, formatting, quality control.

2+ years of experience in at least one of the following: grant writing, proposal management, innovation consulting, technology transfer, product strategy (preferably in life sciences/healthcare/biotech/deep tech).
~ Proven ability to write and structure high-quality documents in English .
~ Solid project management skills: planning, tracking, stakeholder management, deadline discipline.
~ Ability to understand and synthesize technical content (you don’t need to be the inventor, but you must “get it”).
~ Familiarity with concepts like TRLs, clinical validation, regulatory pathways, IP strategy, exploitation plans.
Background or strong exposure to biotech, medtech, diagnostics, synthetic biology, digital health, energy/cleantech (depending on Day One pipeline).

Impact: help bring meaningful technologies into real products and markets.
Flexibility: hybrid work model; freelance collaboration is welcome with clear scopes and milestones.
