Burgess recruitment is currently seeking a Chief Engineer for a 50m yacht.

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a 50m charter vessel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily engineering operations and addressing any technical issues that may arise.

Requirements

  • Chief Engineer up to 3,000 kW (Merchant Navy) or Second Engineer Unlimited CoC holder (Merchant Navy).
  • Proven experience in a similar role on yachts or commercial vessels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • AVIT/ETO knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily engine room operations and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of machinery.
  • Handle any technical issues or emergencies as they arise.
  • Collaborate with the crew to ensure smooth operation and adherence to protocols.

Additional Information

Start date: 10 January 2025

Location: Imperia

Leave: 2:2 rotation

Cabin: Shared Cabin when fully crewed.

Season: Med Single Season heavy charter.

Current Status: Currently in Imperia - Winter works location to be confirmed.
