Overview In this role you contribute to the design, development, verification, and validation of dry scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps within our Vacuum Technologies R&D team. You will apply structural and rotodynamic analyses, supported by simulations and experiments, to ensure performance, reliability, and durability. You collaborate with design, manufacturing, testing, and product management across the product lifecycle, driving improvements and validating new solutions. This position offers hands-on work at the intersection of analysis, testing, and cross-functional development with a meaningful impact on pump technology.
Responsabilità
Design mechanical components and assemblies for scroll and rotary vane vacuum pumps
Perform FEA to assess strength, stiffness, fatigue life, and reliability
Conduct rotodynamic analyses for vibration, critical speeds, and dynamic stability
Plan and analyze experimental validation to align simulations with testing
Support noise and vibration investigations via data acquisition and analysis
Develop test plans, analyze results, and generate technical recommendations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve products
Contribute to methodological and testing capability improvements
Support root cause investigations and corrective actions related to field/manufacturing issues
Requisiti fondamentali
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
Typically 4+ years in mechanical product development, analysis, or validation
Experience in rotating machinery or electromechanical systems
Strong knowledge of structural analysis and FEA
Proficiency with CAD and structural simulation tools; ANSYS strongly preferred
Knowledge of rotordynamics, vibration analysis, and dynamic rotating systems
Experience with experimental testing and validation, including noise and vibration data acquisition
Familiarity with test instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems
Ability to interpret test data and correlate with models
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international environment
