SHEQ Specialist

As part of our continued growth in Italy, we are looking for a SHEQ Specialist to support and drive Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality excellence across our Italy operations. /p pThe role will support two operational sites in Italy and will report hierarchically to the Country Manager and functionally to the SHEQ Manager. /p h3Role Purpose /h3 pThe SHEQ Specialist will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and continuously improving the company's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management systems, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, corporate standards and certification requirements. The role acts as a key business partner to site management, promoting a strong SHEQ culture and supporting operational excellence. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Health Safety /h3 ul liEnsure compliance with Italy's health and safety regulations and internal SHEQ standards. /li liSupport the identification, assessment and control of occupational risks, maintaining risk assessments and preventive action plans. /li liLead and support investigations of incidents, accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented. /li liMonitor safety performance indicators and promote proactive safety initiatives across both sites. /li liCoordinate safety inspections, workplace observations and compliance audits. /li liOrganize and deliver SHEQ training, inductions and awareness programs for employees and contractors. /li liSupport emergency preparedness activities, emergency drills and business continuity plans. /li liEnsure compliance with environmental permits, licenses and applicable environmental legislation. /li liMonitor environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, resource consumption and environmental KPIs. /li liSupport environmental reporting requirements and communications with local authorities when required. /li liIdentify opportunities to improve environmental performance and sustainability initiatives. /li liParticipate in environmental inspections and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented. /li /ul h3Quality /h3 ul liCoordinate internal audits and support external certification and customer audits. /li liSupport the management of non-conformities, customer complaints, corrective and preventive actions. /li liMonitor quality performance indicators and promote continuous improvement initiatives. /li liCollaborate with operational teams to standardize processes, improve performance and reduce operational risks. /li /ul h3Management Systems Compliance /h3 ul liMaintain and support the integrated management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. /li liPrepare SHEQ reports, KPI dashboards and management review inputs. /li liMonitor changes in legislation and ensure organizational compliance with regulatory requirements. /li liSupport corporate SHEQ programs and deployment of Group SHEQ initiatives across Italy operations. /li liWork closely with site managers and department leaders to embed SHEQ requirements into day-to-day operations. /li /ul h3Candidate Profile /h3 ul liDegree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Occupational Health Safety or a related discipline. /li liProven experience in a SHEQ, HSE or QHSE role within an industrial environment. /li liGood knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems. /li liKnowledge of Italy's health, safety and environmental legislation. /li liExperience in auditing, incident investigation and risk assessment methodologies. /li liStrong analytical, organizational and communication skills. /li liAbility to work independently while influencing stakeholders at different levels of the organization. /li liFluent in the local language and professional working proficiency in English. /li liAvailability to travel regularly between company sites in Italy. /li /ul h3What
