Sr. technical vehicle expert, vehicle change management

The Last Mile team within Amazon Logistics is looking for an experienced Vehicle technical expert to drive Amazon Logistics technical fleet capabilities. The Senior Technical expert will be responsible for optimizing the technical attributes of our last-mile vehicle fleet. You will own critical work-streams that focus on keeping our EU fleet at the highest possible standard. You will strive to always be data driven while making judgements from the field to ensure the corrects actions are made to protect the customer, the fleet and operations. The strive to be data driven means that cross-functional relationships are key for success. This role requires availability to travel up to 20% of the time. Key job responsibilities - Owns the optimization of technical attributes of our expanding vehicle fleet and innovates on behalf our customers - Drives planning, resolution and execution in complex technical projects. A day in the life A day in the life of a Vehicle Expert team member is never the same. The day is split evenly between: project work to progress field resolutions, weekly cadence and team/development activities as well as addressing concerns arising from field-related issues. Prioritization is critical in this team, and the stack-ranking of workload is ever-changing due to our reactive nature. It's dynamic, fun, interesting and challenging, the result of which makes for a very rewarding workload. About the team Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles ‘last mile’ delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers’ delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon Restaurants. There are two sides to what we do. Our ‘under the roof’ associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations, with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations. Meanwhile, our ‘on the road’ people work with Amazon Flex - a network of delivery contractors. Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services. We look for new ways to overcome industry wide logistics challenges and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint, supported by a portfolio of cutting-edge vehicles (including Electric Vehicles) and technology to help us do just that.
