About the Role:

We are looking for a Hco Italy Health and Safety Manager who adopts the 'Safety First' vision beyond anything else considering the health and safety measures. In this role, you will be responsible for providing oversight, support and advice to all activities in relation to H&S matters. You will report professionally both to HCo & Agrifarm H&S Manager and to Region Italy H&S Manager and managerially to Hco Italy HR Business Partner.   • Ensure H&S risks are identified, evaluated and mitigated
  • Define H&S objectives in accordance with Group guidelines and key stakeholders
  • Ensure H&S incidents are investigated to determine root causes and to define actions
  • Maintain and regularly update overview of H&S regulations
  • Work with all stakeholders to maintain full compliance with regulatory and Group requirements, including preparation and filing of required documentation
  • Monitor and verify adherence to work safety standards and procedures as well as implementation of all corrective actions identified during audits, inspections, risk assessments, etc.
  • Regular reporting on metrics, status, issues, incidents to Group H&S and other stakeholders
  • Monitor adherence to H&S policies, procedures and work instructions by conducting periodic inspections in the workplace
  • Verify the implementation of Group and regional H&S training initiatives
  • Provides H&S input to major change projects in the Region such as design, purchasing, installation of machines and equipment or changes to site layout, new construction, facility design, etc.
  • Ensures all H&S related licenses, notification, reporting requirements are met and related documents are maintained
Who we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be an experienced subject matter expert in ensuring a management system based on Group values, motivation, diversity & inclusion, competence development and empowerment. He/she will promote the proper communication and cascading through the line managers to the teams and is the guarantor for the human resources professional development, evaluating people and proposing development initiatives.

Required:

  • Master’s Degree in related field
  • RSPP certification required
  • Preferably +5 years of experience in occupational health and safety
  • Passionate for problem solving with good organizational skills; have the ability to prioritize projects and tasks, analytical abilities, exceptional communicator, strong critical thought
  • Ability to work in teams with good interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English (any other European language is a plus)
  • International mobility
