Systems Engineer Telco About the Role The Systems Engineering team at Fortinet is a group of technically skilled and commercially aware professionals who are passionate about solving customer challenges through industry‐leading cybersecurity solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead technical aspects of the sales cycle including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and project management of proof‐of‐concepts in partnership with internal teams, customers, and commercial partners. Listen actively to customer needs, interpret technical requirements and design solutions that deliver exceptional value. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners working closely with sales colleagues. Continuously expand knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions while maintaining awareness of the competitive landscape and evolving cybersecurity threats. Communicate effectively with customers in person and remotely using presentations, whiteboarding, technical papers, and discussions. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring a positive customer experience. Maintain accurate records of activities, contacts, and account information in Salesforce. Qualifications We encourage applications from individuals with diverse experiences and transferable skills. You may be a strong candidate if you have: Aptitude for security technology including encryption, authentication, and network security. Knowledge of intrusion detection, antivirus, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, or CISSP accreditation is a plus. Experience in a presales engineering role managing technical aspects of deals through closure. Demonstrated problem‐solving skills that have contributed to successful outcomes. Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and communicate technical concepts to varied audiences. Understanding of protocols and technologies such as RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES.
