Simulations engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Simulation Asset & Environment Specialist for an immediate project contract - initial duration will be 2 months with potential to extend beyond. This is a high-impact role bridging the gap between 3 D art and Robotics Engineering. You will be responsible for transforming raw 3 D models into fully functional, "simulation-ready" assets for NVIDIA Isaac Sim. it requires a deep technical understanding of USD structures, physics properties (colliders, mass, friction), and Python scripting for automation . Asset Prep: Ingest 3 D models (USD, FBX, OBJ) and configure them for perception tasks (semantic labelling) and physics interaction (collision geometry, articulation). Environment Assembly: Pipeline & Logic: Use Python & Omni Kit to write behaviour scripts and document the workflow for future scalability. Experience creating convex decomposition colliders, setting joint articulation, and tuning material properties . ~ Python Scripting: Ability to write scripts for Isaac Sim extensions or asset automation. ~3 D DCC Tools: Proficiency in Blender, Maya, or Max for basic geometry adjustment.
