The Nail Technician is responsible for ensuring the guest satisfaction in the salon and spa by performing services to the best of their ability and maintaining Four Seasons standards throughout all procedures, for responding to all interactions in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and comfort and for complying with all Four Seasons policies, procedures and standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Provides a professional and relaxed service to all guests, with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, while keeping guests informed of the treatment process and offers information to guests about other services offered in the spa as well as the hotel.-Retrieves, prepares and monitors all nail services.-Keeps all areas neat and clean including the staff lounge, the preparation room and the nail stations in the salon and cleans work stations after each service. Sets up, utilizes or operates and cleans all equipment in the salon and nail stations. Prepares the nail stations with the necessary supplies, sets up and breakdown treatment area as well as turning on and off the lights.-Provides nail services on guests based on their request, including but not limited to manicures, pedicures, paraffin dips, polish change, Shellac services, cullus treatments, and any specialty treatments related to nails.-Assists spa reception and spa attendants (i.e. Deliveries to guest room, retrieving, stocking folding linen in locker rooms, fitness or pool area, preparing beverages for guests, preparing guest amenities for locker rooms, etc)-Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.-Advises guests of all areas of the spa and how to use each facility and the equipment.-Utilizes the appointment book in Book4Time and retrieves their appointments.-Communicates to the lead therapist (or spa management in his/her absence) to prepare requisition sheets for supplies-Follows proper payroll procedures and fills out the proper accounting papers.-Takes product and room inventory-Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.-Abides by all policies, procedures and protocols within the Spa Training Manual and complies with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.-Participates actively in meetings and trainings provided by the spa management or vendors in regards to treatment protocols, product knowledge and sales techniques.-NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:-Operates the audio visual equipment and lighting system.-Assist the spa reception by escorting guests to the appropriate locker room and provide an orientation of the area and amenities if required.-Plays singing crystal bowls to enhance guest experience in public areas following a training provided by the hotel.Current Florida State Cosmetology License-At least two years’ experience in upscale operation of four or five-diamond spa hotel.-Bi-lingual abilities desirable.-Knowledge of Book4Time or other computerized spa scheduling system is preferred-Strong communication skills-A strong sense of organization and ability to prioritize in a busy environment-Preferred previous hotel and computer knowledge-A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays.
