We’re looking for an IT System Engineer – Validation & Onboarding Specialist, to reinforce the team in our Italy office
This position offers the opportunity to work on various aspects of Software System Engineering, including service design and validation, and facilitating the integration of new services and partners.
You will contribute directly to some of Europe’s most exciting space programmes, from Earth observation and climate monitoring to satellite navigation and space safety. Whether you’re helping manage spacecraft operations, analyse mission data, or support software and systems development, your expertise will help move Europe’s space ambitions forward.

As IT System Engineer – Validation & Onboarding Specialist , you will be responsible for:
Leading and executing validation activities, including the preparation of Test Plans and Test Reports, to ensure the quality and reliability of our systems
Supporting corrective and evolutive maintenance activities, assisting the follow‑up of technical teams, performing troubleshooting, and solving problems handling technical analysis
A Degree in Information Technology (IT), Engineering, Technical Sciences or equivalent is required
~2/3 years of working experience in relevant aspects
~ Working experience in software testing, with preparation of Test Plan and Test Report
~ Knowledge of Linux/Unix Operating System environment, and scripting
~ Knowledge of code versioning and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
~ Working experience with Programming languages (e.g. Python, etc.)
~ Working experience in containerized applications (e.g. English Level B2 (Upper‑Intermediate), written and spoken

Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices
Experience of System Engineering processes (e.g., Working experience with Cloud infrastructure and pipeline deployment
Capability of writing technical documentation (e.g., Procedures, Technical Notes, Interface Control Document, System Design Document)
Knowledge of Earth Observation satellite data product formats
