Technical Manager The role reports to the Head of Production & Engineering and offers the opportunity to drive plant reliability, operational excellence and continuous improvement while leading a skilled technical organization in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Lead the Maintenance & Engineering organization across a manufacturing site of approximately 300 employees, overseeing electrical, mechanical and control room activities and coordinating a multidisciplinary technical team of more than 20 professionals, ensuring high levels of plant availability, reliability and operational continuity Drive maintenance excellence and equipment reliability by developing effective preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, analyzing downtime and maintenance KPIs, identifying root causes and implementing improvement actions Lead the engineering function, managing investments, capital projects and technical development initiatives, supporting the plant's medium
- and long-term strategy and contributing to infrastructure upgrades, process improvements and operational excellence programs Manage maintenance and engineering budgets, costs and external partners, ensuring cost efficiency, high service quality and effective technical solutions across outsourced activities and investment projects Partner closely with Production and other functions to address operational challenges, maximize plant performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement, best practices and technical development Build and develop a high-performing team while championing Health, Safety & Compliance, setting clear objectives, strengthening technical capabilities, supporting career development and ensuring compliance with regulations, company standards and fire protection requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification Proven experience in maintenance, engineering or a similar technical leadership role within a manufacturing environment, combined with at least 5 years of people management experience Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is required; experience in the packaging industry would be considered a strong advantage Solid knowledge of industrial maintenance, equipment reliability, root cause analysis, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies Experience in managing maintenance projects, capital investments, budgets and external contractors, with a strong focus on cost optimization and operational efficiency English good This company is an equal opportunities employer.
