Contracts and Procurement Engineer - Nuclear Projects Full-time Department: Natural resources At Turner & Townsend we’re passionate about making the difference. We have multiple opportunities withinIndustrial, Science & Technology projects across Spain and are hiring Cost Managers with proven experience of delivery in these sectors. Provision of Contract and Procurement support to a team of Contracts Engineers in the provision of contracting and procurement services throughout the define and execute phases of the project. Implement contract and procurementstrategies to secure third party services and materials in compliance with HSE, schedule, quality requirements and on best commercial terms. Interact effectively with the Senior Contracts Engineers, Contracts Engineers and Contracts Assistants in the team to implement a fully integrated CP strategy and CP plan for the project. Ensure that the approved Health, Security and Environment standards and Goal Zero policies are fully incorporated in the process of contractor and supplier selection and in the subsequent work execution phases. Manage contracts and agreements in a proactive manner with the objective of minimising claims and disputes. Ensure business ethics are maintained to the highest level. Principal Accountabilities The Contracts Engineer will be required to: Work as part of a team of contracting and procurement,in the provision of Contract and Procurement services. Manage and administer his/her own portfolio of contracts. Provide input into contracting and commercial strategies and provide help with obtaining the requisite approvals for such strategies from management. Prepare contract terms and conditions. Apply the approved principles, processes and procedures. Effectively support the implementation of post award contract management activities, including claims and variations from contractors as well as Contract Management Plans. Prepare and issue Company Instruction whenever additional Scope of Work need to be performed by Contractor. Monitor Contractor’s Key Performance Indicators to ensure compliance with the Contract Terms and Conditions, Scope of Work, deliverables, schedule, and contract administration procedures. Ensure subcontracting procedures and processes are compliant with contractual requirements and deviations are properly justified and approved. Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and/or 5-10 years of experience in applying the discipline skill to nuclearprojects. Professionalwith a proven track record of contracts and procurement performance. Applied knowledge of contract terms and conditions. Experience of local content development, considered a plus. Experience with multi-national and multi-cultural teams. Experience of working in frontier project environments, considered a plus.
