The focus will be on underwriting risks and engage in market activities (brokers and customers) to further establish the BHSI footprint in Italy.We are seeking an experienced individual who is engaged, passionate, social and always striving towards excellence, in both underwriting and collaboration. You should be comfortable working closely with actuaries, the Claims team, and underwriters from across the broader team. In addition, necessary character, relationship building and negotiating skills to help lead and further build a profitable book of business are of the upmost importance.This position is a great fit for an experienced Senior Casualty Underwriter looking to expand their responsibilities and underwriting knowledge with an experienced unit within a top global insurance company that is in the early days of its regional establishment.Able to underwrite accounts while ensuring appropriate analysis and documentation without sacrificing discipline, diligence, and quality service.Underwrite complex and challenging risks while developing solutions for our brokers and customers.3+ years of Underwriting experience preferably having worked for an international Company with good use of English in both written and spoken form in addition to Italian.Strong underwriting acumen, including understanding deployment of net capacity and profitability over top line growth.Experience and strong understanding of different type policy forms, including broker manuscripts, as well as National and Multinational programs.Customer meeting experience with an ability to obtain valuable insights into company exposures via dialogue with senior executives.Willingness to travel.
