Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in driving innovation and ensuring effective execution within transportation networks. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring team attendance and workflow, working closely with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
Amazon Operations and Distribution is a 24/7 environment and shifts may change due to business needs.
Assist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasks
Ensure adequate staffing levels for your area, including managing call outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring department productivity
Support the onboarding and training of new associates to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to perform required tasks
Collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in tracking, analyzing, and reporting Exchange Point metrics
Support the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in identifying and understanding factors contributing to the achievement or shortfall of Exchange Point objectives
Monitor and report on associate hours and schedules
Experience in warehouse operations
Experience in logistics
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement
Experience using Windows/MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel)
