Your role in our shared journeyLocated in one of our South offices (Barcelona, Cuneo o Montpelier), we are seeking a Credit Control Team Lead to join our Finance department.
Your

key responsibilities
will be Covering the Southern European region of ASICS, including Spain, Italy and France, to:Ensure the execution of credit risk
- and cash collection procedures in line with the ASICS EMEA Credit Policy.
Together with the Credit Control Manager EMEA and Team Lead Credit Control North, ensure that the EMEA Credit Policy is regularly updated and that processes are governed through this Policy.
Together with the Team Lead Credit Control NORTH, responsible for weekly Credit Management reporting.
Work closely with other key departments (Commercial team, Operations and Logistics), and support and manage stakeholders.
This function is part of the EMEA Finance team. You will have 8 direct reports and will be in total responsible for a team of 8 employees. You will report to the EMEA Credit Control Manager based in Barcelona.
Team leadershipTogether with the Credit Control Manager EMEA, set objectives for the team in line with company objectives. Compliance and controlsWork with the Manager Credit Control EMEA and Team Lead Credit Control NORTH to strengthen internal controls to prevent material misstatements.
Ensure J-SOX internal controls are correctly and accurately executed in time.
Support the Manager Credit Control EMEA with maintenance of the EMEA Credit Policy and ensure that the team performs their day-to-day tasks in line with the EMEA Credit Policy.
Credit (Risk) Management:Support the team in the assessment of the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
Review requested credit limits by the team and participate in the approval process in SAP S/4HANA.
Work with the team to keep track of blocked orders and share proposals with management for the approval of releases.
Analyze (Seasonal) credit exposure versus credit limits in place, signal challenges, and work with the Commercial team and customers to solve issues.
Collections ManagementLead and support the team in the dunning and collection processes.
Work with the Credit Control Manager EMEA to ensure compliance of customers with agreed payment terms.
Propose payment plans for relevant customers and obtain approval in line with the limits of authority.
Set and monitor collection KPI’s and targets together with the Credit Control Manager EMEA.
Work with the credit collection agency and ASICS Legal department.
ReportingTogether with the Team Lead Credit Control NORTH, responsible for weekly Credit Management reporting and follow-up with the business.
Contribute to improving SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) and Qlik reporting in Accounts Receivable and Credit exposure.
Supports the team in the S&OE calls.
Process improvements and projectsContribute to automation and efficiency improvements.
Identify gaps in processes and lead and support projects for improvement across departments.
Stakeholder managementAct as a business partner and build a strong professional business relationship with other departments (Commercial Team, Logistics, Operations, AP team, Tax, Treasury, Financial Control, etc). You have the following experience and skills Minimum knowledge &

experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar position.
At least 2 years of experience in managing a team, preferably also experience with remote people management.
Relevant work experience in an international credit collection environment.
Collection experience with bigger retail chains is a plus.
SAP or SAP S/4HANA experience is highly preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
SAP BI (Analysis for Office) and/or SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) are preferred.
Experience in working with a third-party collection tool is preferred.
Competences (skills & abilities):Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Having another European language (Italian, Spanish, French) is a plus.
Strong people manager, able to connect and motivate team members.
Attention to detail & overview of the business: able to operate at the detail level when necessary but always focusing on the big picture. Strong affinity towards process optimization and automation.
